UPSC allows candidates of Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2022 to apply for change in exam center

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has allowed the candidates to submit the request for change of centers for the applicants of Dharamsala and Mandi. As per the notification, UPSC has decided to operate two additional centers at Dharamsala and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Applicants are asked to modify the centers of their choice.

The commission has notified in its notification that the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination will be conducted on 5th June across India and those who are appearing in the examination can opt for their nearest examination center. This is a preliminary exam.

The submission window opened in two phases for the revised choice of centers by the candidates. The first phase was from March 3 to March 7 at 6 pm. The window for the second phase is open from March 10 and will remain open till March 14 at 6 pm. Candidates can visit the official website of the Commission upsconline.nic.in to submit the revised option

If the candidates do not want to change their centre, they do not need to log in and submit the request. According to the notice, “Requests for change of centers will be considered on the principle of “first-apply-first allotment” basis and once the capacity of a particular center is achieved, it will be frozen and visible. The candidate will then have to select a center from amongst the remaining ones.”

Apart from these, all other points and eligibility conditions remain unchanged for the two exams to be held on June 5. The window for filing applications for the civil services exam was closed on February 22. UPSC had invited applications for more than 1000 posts.
