US investor reveals he’s losing 1,000 followers a day despite Twitter Blue subscription

Billionaire entrepreneur and investor Mark Cuban recently revealed that he is losing about 1,000 Twitter followers a day, despite paying for a Twitter Blue subscription. also shared in conversation with cnbc that his tweets are reaching “significantly” fewer people than they did a few months ago.

“I thought I was on some Twitter s— list that doesn’t show me new or existing users as a potential follow,” he told CNBC, adding, “I thought maybe, that’s an annual contract.” By paying, that would change. It didn’t happen.”

While Mr. Cuban won’t care about the number of followers, it matters at the moment as he’s trying to spread the word about his online pharmacy.

In fact, last month, in a tweet, he had asked Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk for suggestions to maintain or increase the number of followers. The tech billionaire has not responded.

“To counter this I turned blue thinking it got me some preference and would help retain or grow users. Any suggestions?” He wrote in a tweet on Friday that it has been viewed 8.5 million times.

In December, Elon Musk also faced a similar issue and complained that his posts were getting fewer likes and retweets than usual. According to a report in the platform, he reportedly fired a software engineer for saying that “the public is losing interest in his antics.”

In another post, Mr. Cuban criticized Twitter’s new approach. “The approach to legacy testing is a huge mistake,” he said. He tweeted this after Twitter removed blue checkmarks from previously verified accounts.

“There were 100 ways [Musk] Cuban wrote, “Could have asked for a legacy check for $100.” “Egalitarianism was the worst of them all.”

Mr Cuban, who joined Twitter in September 2008, still has 8.8 million followers on the platform.
