US President Joe Biden told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday that Washington would provide $625 million to Kyiv in new security assistance, including a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launcher, the White House said.
The White House said in a statement that Biden joined Vice President Kamala Harris’ call. The president underscored that Washington would never recognize Russian occupation of Ukrainian territory, it added.
The statement said Biden “resolved to continue supporting Ukraine as it defends itself from Russian aggression for as long as it takes.”
