The Congress high command has decided to send a senior leader to persuade disgruntled MLA Rajagopal Reddy to continue in the party.
A meeting was held in the presence of AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal and AICC in-charge of Telangana Manickam Tagore, TPCC President A Revanth Reddy, Congress MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress strategist Sunil Kanumolu participated. Lost senior leaders when it was gaining strength in Telangana.
It was decided that the party should make every effort to persuade Mr. Raj Gopal Reddy not to fall into the trap of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Shri Uttam Kumar Reddy is likely to meet Raj Gopal Reddy personally on behalf of AICC in Hyderabad on Saturday. Shri Komatireddy Venkata Reddy is also likely to attend the meeting.
