This Diwali, the Yogi Adityanath government will pray for the prosperity and welfare of all citizens of the state by lighting diyas made of cow dung,” he said. . Describing it as an eco-friendly move, which will also promote the conservation of indigenous cattle species in the country, Singh said the move will encourage the use of cow dung based products during the upcoming festival.
An official said that during the Deepotsav celebrations, around 4.5 lakh lamps will be lit in 21 major temples of Ayodhya. Apart from this, around 51,000 diyas will be lit at Ram Janmabhoomi, 21,000 at Hanuman Garhi and many more at various temples including Kanak Bhawan and Guptar Ghat.
