Uttar Pradesh Election Phase 1: Voting in 58 seats in 11 districts today

Voting for the first phase of Uttar Pradesh elections will begin at 7 am in 58 assembly seats in 11 districts of the state. Voting will conclude at 6 pm today.

The districts where voting is being held today include Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Shamli, Baghpat, Aligarh, Agra and Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Candidate

623 candidates are in the fray in the first phase of assembly elections, while around 2.27 crore voters will decide the fate of these candidates.

Candidates from Noida Assembly Constituency

From the Noida Assembly seat, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again fielded Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj Singh, while the Congress has fielded Pankhuri Pathak, for whom party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also held home. – Had campaigned at home. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has fielded Kripam Sharma from this seat and Sunil Chaudhary of Samajwadi Party (SP) is also a candidate from this seat.

Around 50,000 paramilitary personnel from 412 companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed at various places to maintain law and order.

Police have sealed the state’s borders and strict vigil is being maintained to maintain peace in the 58 assembly constituencies where polling will be held today.

Voting in seven phases in UP

Voting in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly is to be held in seven phases on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, March 3 and 7. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
