The Uttarakhand government on Friday announced that it will conduct a mega vaccination campaign from October 18 to November 2. During this second time people will be eligible for various prizes through lucky draw.

R Rajesh Kumar, DM and CEO, Dehradun Smart City Limited said, “Almost 100% of the adult population got the first dose in the district. About 50% of the eligible population was vaccinated with a second dose.”
Those who will take the second dose during the period from October 18 to November 2 will be eligible to receive various prizes through lucky draw. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced ex-gratia amount on Wednesday ₹50,000 to the next of kin of the deceased on death due to COVID-19 in the state and also directed the district magistrates to provide the compensation amount to the aggrieved families within 30 days of the application.
Addressing a program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on International Disaster Risk Reduction Day today, the Minister said that financial assistance will be provided from the State Disaster Response Fund.
“State government will give compensation on death due to corona” ₹50,000 to the kin of the deceased. This financial assistance will be provided from the ‘State Disaster Response Fund’,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
