Varisu Vs Thunivu Box Office Collection Day 4: It is one of the biggest clashes in Tamil cinema as Vijay and Ajith come face to face with their Pongal releases. Both the films have exceeded the expectations in terms of box office numbers. Both are earning in double digits during the festive season, serving the audience with the right content. However, it is Vijay who is impressing the audience a bit more than Ajith.

At a time when the latest Bollywood film on the block, Kutty, starring Arjun Kapoor Struggling to gain audience in theatres, Vaarisu and Thunivu are flourishing. Both are doing great business. According to early box office predictions, while Ajith starter Thunivu collected over Rs 11 crore, Vijay made a mark with a staggering business of Rs 17 crore. The total box office collection of both these films has crossed Rs 40 crore.

About Varisu

Warisu is the story of a man who is the son of a business tycoon. He was forced to take over his father’s empire under some unfavorable circumstances. The screenplay of the film is jointly written by directors Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ashish Solomon. Rashmika Mandanna appeared as the female lead opposite Vijay. Besides him, it also features a stellar supporting cast including R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu and Sangeeta Krish. Producer Dil Raju has backed the film under his banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. S Thaman has composed the music for the film.

About Tunivu

Ajith Kumar plays a slightly negative character in the action thriller, and he impressed the fans with it. Manju Warrier, Malayalam cinema star, plays the female lead, while Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Veeran, Ajay and GM Sundar appear in pivotal roles. After the success of his last two films with H Vinoth, Ajith is back with another promising film with him. Ghibran scored music for Ajith in Thunivu for the first time, while the cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah.
