“We quickly realized that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the MCB switchboard on the third floor. Though the fire was minor, thick smoke had covered the entire third floor. The students of the first and second floors managed to come out on time , while the students managed to get out. The third and fourth floors were jammed as the visibility was zero.”
Using breathing apparatus sets, two firefighters entered the building and doused the fire on the third floor and then opened the windows to clear the smoke, he said.
