Ved Box Office Collection Day 11: After a stupendous weekend, the Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza film registered a major drop on Monday. As the film entered its second week of release, the film managed to achieve a phenomenal opening weekend with higher collections than the weekdays. However, on the 11th day the film started slowing down.

The film, which marked Ritesh’s directorial debut and Genelia’s Marathi debut, saw a major drop at the ticket window. As per the initial trade reports, Ved has managed to collect 2.50 crores on its 11th day of release. The total collection of the film is more than Rs 33 crore.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared information about Ved’s second weekend collection on Twitter. He wrote: “#Marathi film #Ved continues its stupendous run in Weekend 2…in fact, Weekend 2 [₹ 12.75 cr] weekend is more than 1 [₹ 10 cr]Biz Jumps 27.50%… Growth Continues [second] Saturn and Sun are extraordinary… [Week 2] Venus 2.52 crores, Saturn 4.53 crores, Sun 5.70 crores. Gross: ₹ 33.42 crore.”

Ved has more than one reason for fans to throng the cinema halls. It not only features the impeccable chemistry between Riteish and Genelia but also features in a special guest appearance Salman Khan, The Bollywood superstar shot for a song in Ved.
The film is also Genelia’s first Marathi film. In December last year, Genelia had revealed that she is making her Marathi debut with Ved. Sharing a video, the actress wrote, ‘Fortunate to be a part of films in so many languages and to get love and respect from all. Being born in Maharashtra, my heart was longing and hoping to do a film in Marathi for years. There would be a script where I could say that’s all. And, then it happened – my first Marathi film, I am coming back to acting after 10 years and being a part of a dream where my husband Riteish Deshmukh is directing for the first time and I have got a beautiful co-actor Jia Shankar Got a chance to share the space with, which is presented under our production house MFC (sic).”
