Vijayawada: BJP AP President Somu Veeraraju Promised to supply ‘quality’ liquor at Rs 50 per bottle on Tuesday if BJP comes to power Andhra Pradesh, At present a quarter of a bottle of quality liquor is sold for over Rs 200.
Speaking at the party’s public meeting here on Tuesday, Veeraraju took a dig at the state government for selling “poor” quality liquor at high prices to the people. He alleged that all counterfeit brands are sold at exorbitant prices in the state, while known and popular brands are not available.
The BJP state president said that every person in the state is spending 12 thousand rupees per month on liquor, which is given to them again in the name of some scheme by the government.
Veeraraju said that one crore people are consuming liquor in the state and they want one crore people to vote for BJP in 2024 elections. He promised ‘quality’ liquor at Rs 75 per bottle and if the revenue improved it would be sold at Rs 50 per bottle.
The BJP state president alleged that the ruling party leaders have liquor factories which supply cheap liquor to the government.
