The thread also jokingly suggested alternative titles for classic films if they were translated into French, such as Titanic becoming a Very Bad Boat and Jaws becoming a Very Bad Shark.

The original titles are usually meaningless to the average French person. For example, “The Hangover doesn’t make sense to a French person even with a basic knowledge of English. “Very bad trip” is however clear because it uses simple words that everyone knows. “I don’t think it’s funny.
