The three-day wedding festivities of the Bollywood star couple began with a mehendi ceremony in which close family members as well as friends of the couple from the film industry reached Rajasthan.
Both Kaif and Kaushal left for Jaipur from Mumbai with their families on Monday evening.
Soon after reaching Jaipur, both the families went straight to the wedding venue, Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur in a convoy of over 15 cars.
The couple’s close friends and colleagues, including Kaif’s frequent collaborator filmmaker Kabir Khan, his actor wife Mini Mathur, director Vijay Krishna Acharya ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ fame actress couple Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi reached Jaipur on Tuesday morning.
Kaushal’s younger brother Sunny Kaushalfriend of Sharvari Wagh has also arrived. The distance between Jaipur and the hotel is approximately 120 km.
like famous playback singer Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsan Noorani, Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan also reached Jaipur earlier today.
There are reports that Maan will perform at the wedding.
Asked what he would like to say to Kaif and Kaushal, Mann told reporters outside the Jaipur airport: “My love to the couple. God bless them.”
About 20 kg of “Organic Mehndi” powder has been supplied from Sojat town of Pali district of Rajasthan for the Mehndi ceremony.
Apart from the mehndi powder, 400 pieces of mehndi cones have also been sent for the couple’s wedding, which is to be held at Hotel Six Senses Fort Barwara, Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Sojat is famous for the cultivation of Mehndi.
Nitesh Agarwal, owner of Sojat-based mehndi processing and manufacturing firm Natural Herbals, said, “We have supplied organic mehndi to an event management company for wedding events. We have given free mehndi as a gift from Sojat, Pali.” told PTI.
Aggarwal said that it took them around 20 days to process the organic mehndi specially for the wedding.
According to sources, the couple will celebrate Mehndi Ceremony with both sides of the family.
“Vicky has a big, loving and warm Punjabi family and his uncle, aunty (uncle and aunt), mama and mami (mama and aunty) are all looking forward to officially welcoming Katrina into the family.
“The wedding preparations have been in full swing from their side for some time now. It will be a joyous occasion for both the parties as both their friends and family are going to celebrate the couple’s special day together,” a source said.
He added that Kaif’s family has also come exclusively from London – his mother, his sisters and brother as well as a close group of friends.
“While it is going to be a private, intimate affair, the celebrations are still going to be grand and they have spared no expense to ensure that they make their special day a memorable one,” said the sources.
The luxurious property, a fort converted into a hotel, is lit in bright yellow lights for the wedding ceremony and guarded by private security personnel and bouncers.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made in and around the hotel.
While private security personnel are guarding both the gates of the hotel, local policemen are also seen deployed in the area.
District Collector Rajendra Kishan said that the district administration has directed the hotel authorities to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 safety guidelines.
He said, “It is a private event. I recently had a meeting with my officials and hotel representatives and asked them to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 related guidelines.”
He said that the hotel authorities and the security agency have also been directed to coordinate with the local police so that there is no security related problem.
