In preparation for the big elections of 2024 and crucial state elections this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party today announced new chiefs in several states. MP and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will now lead the party in the poll-bound state of Telangana in place of Bandi Sanjay Kumar. BJP MLA Etela Rajender, who was the first Finance Minister of Telangana, has been appointed as the chairman of BJP’s State Election Management Committee for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections. He started his political career with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by K Chandrasekhar Rao and remained with it till 2021, after which he joined the BJP.
