Senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje has reacted sharply to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s claim that she and two other BJP leaders helped save his government in 2020 during Sachin Pilot’s rebellion. Terming their claims as “disgrace” and a “conspiracy”, he challenged Mr Gehlot to file a First Information Report if he had proof that his MLAs had accepted bribes. In a statement issued late in the evening, Ms Raje leveled her allegations against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He has been insulted by Mr Gehlot, he said, “like no one else in Rajasthan”.
