The DMK is set to win the local body elections in nine newly formed districts of Tamil Nadu. The counting of votes, which began at 8 am on Tuesday, is likely to end this afternoon. Chief Minister MK Stalin thanked the voters for the result and called it their support for the first five months of his party’s government. “We will work harder… will protect people’s faith in us,” the chief minister said.
