Video: Killer whales brutally attack each other in US Aquatic Park

SeaWorld said the video released by PETA is “misleading and inaccurate”.

A disturbing video has surfaced online showing killer whales repeatedly attacking each other violently at a sea world in the United States. The horrifying clip was captured by a visitor at a San Diego aquatic park and shared on social media by animal rights group PETA.

The video shows orcas attacking each other at Sea World in front of shocked visitors. At one point, a small child can even be heard asking, “How is the orca still alive?” “I thought they helped each other, not fought with each other,” said the child.

In the caption, PETA said that an eyewitness said, “We all immediately saw the blood soaking in the water which made my 9-year-old daughter cry.”

The video shows the injured orca making its way to the beach to escape the attackers.

“We’ll see bite marks [and] Fresh wound around the whale. Every two seconds two more orcas will jump out of the water to continue [sic] attacking the injured orca,” said the visitor.

PETA has Confirmed That he has filed a complaint about SeaWorld with the US Department of Agriculture. The animal rights group simultaneously called on the agency to investigate “abuse parks” for apparent federal Animal Welfare Act violations on the housing of unaccompanied animals.

PETA reported that the new photos came just a day after another orca died of infection. Nakai died on Thursday. The whale was reportedly kept in a tank where it was threatened by other whales for two decades.

Separately, according to local media outlets kpbsSeaWorld has stated that the video released by PETA is “misleading and inaccurate”. The theme park said that despite the looks of things, this is normal orca behavior known as rake marking, which means it occurs when tooth whales run their teeth over each other’s skin.
