Video: McDonald’s employee throws drink at upset customer in Australia

The incident is of June 15.

A video of McDonald’s staff retaliating against an unruly customer in Sydney, Australia, has gone viral online. A staff member standing at the counter of the fast food chain’s Vineyard store in Sydney’s central business district was caught on camera throwing a drink at an angry customer, who then began throwing food at staff members. According to News.com.au, the incident took place on June 15.

This video has been shared by Brown Cardigan on Instagram. Since being shared a day ago, it has been viewed 1.1 million times and garnered over 38,000 likes.

“Not Happy Meal,” said one person. “Whatever the customer did, the staff were not allowed to throw coffee on him, it’s dangerous and hot,” added a second user.

Another person said that he had also seen a different version of the same video. “I saw another video of this and the customer spat on a McDonald’s worker and then got coffee on his face – pretty cool if you ask me. If you spit on me I won’t throw the whole meal at you.” Just a drink.”

McDonald’s Australia said in a statement that it was “not consistent” with its policies for employees to act in retaliation. However, he added that there is more to the story than what is shown in the video. “What is not shown in the video is that the customer first entered the restaurant and went behind the counter to disrupt the kitchen and threaten the crew,” he added.

The company said it would take up the matter with the franchisees. “The behavior of our staff in this video is not in line with our policies and we are looking into it with the restaurant. Anti-social behavior is not tolerated in our restaurant and we expect our people to be treated with respect at all times.” “We will always do our best for our customers, but we will not tolerate abuse, threats, intimidation or violence towards our employees,” McDonald’s said.

According to the outlet, police in New South Wales said they went to the Wynard station store after they learned a 23-year-old man had been assaulted. Police later took a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old into custody.
