Video of Ganesh temple in Chhattisgarh leaves the internet mesmerized

There are many Ganesha temples in India. But now a video showing a small temple situated atop a hill amidst dense forest is going viral on social media.

User aadi_thakur750 shared a stunning video on Instagram, which shows a Ganesh temple situated atop the Dholkal hill in Chhattisgarh. The user captioned the post as, “Live Ganesh Aarti.”

The Ganesh temple is situated at an altitude of 300 feet above sea level. It is believed to be 1,000 years old. The temple overlooks the dense forest of the iron-rich Bailadila mountain range.

The Instagram user shared the video last month and it has since collected over 452,000 likes and over two million views. In the comments section of the post, where some internet users called the video “amazing”, others jokingly wrote, “My clumsy feet must have slipped with all the water on that little surface.”

A user said, “Pujari ji has a lot of guts if I were in his place my feet would be trembling to stand there… (I think God will take good care of him)” Another said, “Search this place Gone a hundred years ago. It is called Dholkal Ganesh. It can be reached after a climb of about 40 minutes.”

Several users also filled the comments section with folded hands and heart emojis.

Meanwhile, according to PTIIt is believed that the idol of Ganesha was built on the ‘Dhol’ shaped mountain range during the time of Nagvanshi dynasty in the 9th or 10th century. The mountain range is located inside the deep forest, 14 km from Faraspal police station in the district. One has to reach the place on foot by forest route as there is no road available there.
