Video of jugaad tool to make soap bubble shocks the internet

The entire set up is powered by batteries.

Bubble makers are among the most popular toys. Kids love watching bubbles float and explode in the air. Some adults even enjoy watching the bubbles come out of the stick. A video gaining traction on Twitter shows a resourceful approach (Makeshifter) to make bubbles using a table fan. The gadget’s maker has used everyday accessories to present a compact set up that dips a wand in a soapy solution, blows it out and creates bubbles using air from a fan.

However, the set up is not portable. It also requires electricity as can be seen in the video shared by Tansu Yegen.

In this 56-second video, a chair-like structure is visible above the table fan. The base appears to be a solid concrete slab. The two clips are arranged such that they are holding a clothes hanger as well as a stick dispensing soapy water from a container placed on the floor.

While the fan uses electricity, the other parts are battery operated. The movable parts rotate, causing the wand to dip into the soapy water and come out with a film, which then receives air from the fan resulting in bubbles in the air.

The video has been viewed more than 4.5 lakh times and has been liked by more than 15,000 users.

One Twitter user commented, “I love when engineers are bored. Boredom breeds creativity which can lead to different degrees of crazy ideas.” “What a creativity,” said another.

Surface tension, when a soap bubble appears, is a popular phenomenon, according to Encyclopdia Britannica. It is a property of a liquid surface that is demonstrated by its acting as if it were a stretched elastic membrane. The bubble floats in the air with a wobble membrane.

Surface tension can be observed in the almost spherical shape of small droplets of liquids and soap bubbles. This property allows some insects to stand on the surface of the water.
