A huge coal stockpile caught fire at the Okha port in Gujarat’s Dwarka amid Cyclone Biparjoy. Coal is stored in the inner part of the port. The cyclone caused high waves to crash against the harbor walls as the coal continued to burn, giving rise to thick smoke. The landfall process for Cyclone Biparjoy reached a peak with winds gusting up to 125 kmph and heavy rain along the Gujarat coast. The entire process is expected to last till midnight.
