The Congress will lead an opposition alliance that will defeat the BJP in the 2024 national elections, party chief Mallikarjun Kharge has said, adding that the 137-year-old outfit was in talks with “every” other party to realise. Mr Kharge’s remarks underline the Congress’s claim that it could lead an alliance to take on the BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
