Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday sacked Minister of State for Sainik Welfare Rajendra Gudha hours after he made remarks in the state assembly that drew parallels between sexual violence in Manipur and alleged atrocities against women in Rajasthan. Mr. Gudha, considered a loyalist of former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, has been critical of his own government on various issues. Mr Gudha said, “Instead of raising the issue of Manipur, we need to focus on what is happening in our own backyard.
