Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a high-level meeting to assess crop damage due to unseasonal rains and assured compensation to farmers. “The crop damage of each farmer will be surveyed from a humanitarian point of view. Those farmers whose crops have been damaged by more than 50 per cent will be compensated.”
At the rate of Rs 32,000 per hectare, the rest will get relief under the crop insurance scheme,” he said.
