A video of a swarm of bats flying through a cave in Mexico has created a flutter on the internet. Since being shared on Twitter, the clip has garnered over 6 million views and over 169,000 likes.

The viral video, recorded from a car, shows countless bats flying through the Cueva de los Murciélagos (Bat Cave). “Look at the endless river of bats emerging from this cave,” read the caption of the post.

The group of bats was captured on camera flying in one direction and simultaneously flying rapidly towards the sky like a plume of black smoke.

Since being uploaded, the video has gained traction on social media. One user jokingly wrote, ‘Batman has summoned these bats for his biggest mission. “It’s a beautiful sight. Bats are so important to our planet,” said another. “A magnificent phenomenon of nature,” added the third, while the fourth remarked, “that is unbelievable! Wonder why they have all come out.”
