Tamil actor Vijay Antony is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Pichaikaran 2. The sequel to the 2016 blockbuster titled Pichaikaran was a box office success. Naturally the expectations of Pichaikaran 2 have already raised the bar high and now its release date has been announced. The makers have fixed May 19 as the premiere date of the Vijay Antony-starrer. What’s more, the makers have also released an interesting trailer of Pichaikaran 2 which is grabbing the attention of the audience.

Loaded with visuals and scintillating graphic work, the trailer is a seat-of-the-seat ride with racing cars, gory images of zombies and the menacing dances of the ‘formless’.

Inside the trailer there are massive protests, fights between common people as well as a cop threatening a serious case related to crime. There is also a glimpse of a grand celebration of a god, to show the power. Not to forget that there are tons of action sequences that will keep your attention hooked for a long time. Helmed by Vijay Antony and produced under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation, Pichaikaran 2 revolves around a business tycoon named Vijay Gurumurthy, who is murdered by a goon named Satya. Vijay is playing the role of an assassin in the film. The film is titled Bhikshukarna 2 in Kannada and Bhikshukarna 2 in Malayalam.

Apart from Vijay Antony, Pichaikaran 2 also stars Kavya Thapar, Harish Paradi, Yogi Babu, Ajay Ghosh, Mansoor Ali Khan, John Vijay and Dev Gill. A prequel to Pichaikkaran 2, titled Pichaikkaran, was both written and directed by filmmaker Sasi. The prequel had an out-of-the-box theme, centered around a wealthy businessman whose mother is in a coma. Following the orders of a priest, the merchant decides to lead the life of a beggar in order to revive his mother.

Pichaikaran was a box office success, earning crores at the ticket window. It struck a chord with the public and was released in Kannada as Amma I Love You, in Odia as Baby and in Marathi as Bhikari.
