Vijay Kedia’s ‘first unicorn’ found for Re 1, says ‘Humble’ investors

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday signed an agreement with veteran investor and MD of Kedia Securities, Vijay Kedia for the exclusive rights to his popular jingle, ‘BSE Meri Jaan Ho Tum’.

BSE has been granted an “exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide and transferable license of Jingle”, the stock exchange said in a press release.

The ‘BSE Meri Jaan Ho Tum’ jingle rights were transferred to BSE for a one-time and all-inclusive fee of Re 1 by Vijay Kedia, “he will not have to pay any additional royalty or charges for future use of the jingle”.

Vijay Kedia said, “From my first failed attempt to become a sub-broker in BSE in 1989 till today where my voice has become a part of this great institution, the journey has been both overwhelming and honour.

“My first unicorn .. my song” BSE Meri Jaan Ho Tum Acquired by @BSEIndia. Humble… reinforces my belief.. that “We are all heroes of our film, but we have different release dates. Don’t give up,” Kedia wrote on Twitter.
