Viral: Man Cooks Paratha Floating in Ghee, “Ticket to Heaven” Jokes Internet

We love to binge on food and binge watch food videos. As we scroll through our feeds, we come across all kinds of videos showing new ways, Bizarre Food Combo, unique regional traditions and much more. Social media also gives us a glimpse into how street food is made in different corners of the country (and the world). Recently one such viral video came in front of us which we were stunned to see. Instagram Reel shows an Indian street food vendor cooking a large paratha with lots of Ghee, So much ghee was used that users couldn’t help but question (and make jokes) about what would happen after eating such a dish.

The Instagram reel was shared by a video creator @officialsahihai. In this we first see the man pouring ghee directly from one packet on top of the other. Paratha, Then he flips it so that it melts and it looks like the paratha is floating in a pool of ghee. He keeps roasting the parantha from both the sides. Before cutting it, he tilts the pan so that the remaining ghee drains into another vessel. The caption reads, “Swimming pool wale dilkhush parathas.” Watch the full video below.

The reel has received 23 lakh views so far. Instagram users in the comments didn’t find the dish very appealing. Many of them were surprised at how liberally the vendor used ghee. Some even jokingly said that the person was actually selling ghee and that paratha was like a side dish here. Read some of their reactions below:
