One Reddit user advised, “Best stay away from any cloud kitchens on Swiggy/Zomato. Quality and standards are not restaurant level. Especially Freshmenu.” To this, the person replied, “Idk how true this is but based on my observation tier 2 towns actually have better quality of food in restaurants. I am in Bengaluru for college and in my town I haven’t heard about roach and stuff found in food, people getting sick from eating from a particular restaurant, etc except an odd case here and there. In Bengaluru, you literally need to avoid every other restaurant. Truffle, Leon, FreshMenu, etc, have had problems with all of them by now you name it, and based on what people on this sub say about these places, I am not alone.”

“These kinds of posts actually give me motivation to not eat at any restaurants or order food online.”

“Freshmenu is so bad. I once ordered thali with mix veg. The rice was raw and crunchy the veggies were not even cooked. They had just put cut veggies in a leftover sauce. Eeew…worst Zomato experience.”

“I’ve found cockroaches multiple times, in the soup ordered from a cloud kitchen, in the biryani ordered from the famous Nandini restaurant. All I know is very few of them follow proper hygiene & the sensible thing is to avoid having outside food.”
