A photograph of a Bengaluru bus driver being issued a challan (fine) for taking a wrong turn has gone viral on social media and is garnering hilarious reactions from netizens.
It all started when the school bus driver took a wrong U-turn on a busy road near the Garudacharapalya metro station in Bengaluru. A Twitter handle named “FixBangalorePls” shared a video of the bus taking a wrong turn. User wrote, “Your school bus full of @ChrysalisHigh students is going on the wrong way from Brigade Metropolis under Garudacharpalya metro station. Bus number KA53AA6189. @blrcitytraffic please impose severe fine, being a school bus and putting the lives of so many children at risk is not done.”
In another tweet, Twitterati shared the video of the school bus taking a dangerous U-turn yet again. “Despite the complaint it is still the same bus. What action has been taken?” He wrote in the caption.

The unexpected turn came when the traffic police shared a picture of an officer handing over a road challan (fine) to the bus driver in a sign of reward. Mahadevapura traffic department tweeted, “Bus driver fined.”

This picture of the bus driver holding a fine receipt and the police officer standing next to him has triggered a flurry of hilarious reactions from Twitter users. Many also jokingly asked if the bus driver had been rewarded for his work.
One user wrote, “Great job, @blrcitytraffic driver’s gesture looks like ‘I was expecting a bigger prize’.” “Ha ha! It’s like handing over the keys to a new model vehicle at the time of its first sale,” said another.
A third commented, “Looks like the driver is accepting the prize,” while a fourth said, “Looks like Amitabh Bachchan handing over the prize check to the winner”.
