People like and like dance videos very much on social media. They attract more attention when they are finished with a twist. In one such video that is going viral, a girl is seen doing Kathak on a Bollywood hit song. ‘Tumse Mileke Dil Ka’ from the 2004 film I am rightStarring Shahrukh Khan and Sushmita Sen.
While there have been many versions and dance covers of the song by Altaf Sabri, Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam, this Kathak version in particular has struck a chord with many. The video has been shared by Anupriya Sharma on Instagram. Sharing the video, Ms Sharma wrote, “Sorry A, I took it literally.” The text has been inserted in the video, “stage tod ke aana” (break the stage)

The video shows Ms Sharma on stage wearing a beige top and pink skirt ‘anklet bells’. As the song plays, she gives a graceful and energetic Kathak performance on it, performing several body postures and hand movements. She doesn’t miss a beat and her expressions are perfect. During this, people are seen encouraging him when he performs.
Via hashtag, the video is of a freshers party at Delhi University. Since being shared, the comments section on Instagram has been flooded with praise and appreciation for the talented dancer. Till date, the video has garnered more than 10 lakh views and more than 1 lakh likes and many comments.
“I was really waiting for the stage to break,” wrote one user. A third user commented, “Please I need a tutorial for this whole dance.” Yet another added, “Definitely going to try your choreo very soon..absolutely in love with it..you nailed it.”
