Viral video: Man uses ChatGPT to make a dish with leftover ingredients

Using leftover ingredients to make something unique has been a common strategy for freeing up space in the refrigerator. From making delicious sandwiches with leftover potato curry to making fried rice by mixing leftover boiled rice with some vegetables, we have done it all. Usually our mothers are the ones brainstorming ideas to use up leftover food, one man decided to take some help from the viral chatbot – ChatGPT. She asked the AI-powered chatbot for a recipe using some leftover ingredients and received a step-by-step guide.

The viral video has been shared on Instagram by @onlyshubhamjoshi. At the beginning of the video a man asks ChatGPT, “What can I make with potatoes, tomatoes, onions, spices, bread, cheese, salt, pepper and milk?” The chatbot responds quickly and suggests dishes called “Cheesy Potato and Vegetable Bake” or “Potato and Vegetable Gratin.” Watch video here:

Not just that, ChatGPT also offered a guide on the entire process of making a dish. The person then starts the recipe by preheating the oven and cutting some potatoes. He places the potato slices in a baking tray along with onions, tomatoes and sprinkles some salt, pepper and spices on top. He also pours some milk over the vegetables and also adds grated paneer. After this, he puts crumbled bread pieces on top of it and puts it in the oven to cook.

At the end of the clip, the man tastes a delicious dish made using the instructions given by the chatbot. Within no time, the clip garnered over 4 million views on the platform and prompted several users to respond. One user suggested that the person doesn’t need a chatbot, “Should have asked your grandma,” read one comment.

Another user said, ‘If this is given to a robot, they will make it according to the instructions. Humans now need to be more innovative and prove AI.”

A user suggested, “Try adding a condition, electricity and no gas. Then see the result”.
