a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh The (RSS) training was allegedly conducted on the premises of Coimbatore Corporation Primary School on Devanga High School Road in RS Puram on Sunday and the video of it went viral on social media.

members of Thanthai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam (TPDK) protested in front of the school and raised slogans alleging that such training inside the school disturbs communal harmony. TPDK general secretary K Ramakrishnan urged the state government to Shut down RSS shakhas in public places. He also demanded departmental action against the officers who allowed the training.
sources close to RSS The unit here denied the allegations and said that the cleaning activity was a part of their annual program where volunteers cleaned public places and educational institutions. Similar activities were organized at 23 places across the district on Sunday.
Corporation commissioner M. Pratap said that the education department officials are investigating the matter. He said that the corporation had not given permission to conduct the training in the school premises.
