Viral video shows how Japanese restaurants quickly calculate your sushi bill

Be it sushi or gyoza, ramen or tempura – Japan has so many delicious dishes to offer. But Japanese restaurants are creating buzz for more reasons than just their amazing culinary delights. In a recent video, we can see how a Japanese restaurant had a smart technology to calculate your food total and generate a receipt for the same. The clip from the Japanese restaurant was shared on Instagram Reels by user @allstarseven, a blogger currently based in Japan. “Why is Japan living in the future,” he wrote in the first caption of the video. Video The Japanese restaurant has already garnered over 3.9 million views and 203k likes.

In the clip, we can see the blogger enjoying several Japanese delicacies like sushi, gyoza and more at the restaurant. Next, he showed us all the plates he had ordered to be stacked in a single pile. “I eat a lot. Don’t judge me. Most sushi only costs $1.20,” he explained in the caption. You’ll be amazed at what the chef did next! Chef just did a scanning Device and put it on the plates of food. Each plate was scanned by the device and the total amounted to $24. How it worked was that each plate had a different cost, and the chip on the inside of the plates helped the device quickly recognize dishes and add up their totals to create a bill.

How simple and convenient isn’t it?
