Virat Kohli is the only player to have achieved ‘this’ record and is unlikely to be broken

Virat Kohli, a name that has gripped the entire cricket fraternity and fans of the game. Once Virat arrives, he commands respect and attention. The former India skipper has dominated world cricket for over a decade and breaks records every time he walks out to bat. Kohli’s prowess with the bat is such that he has the most number of international hundreds after the great Sachin Tendulkar, As far as One Day Internationals (ODIs) are concerned, Kohli with 46 international centuries is just behind Sachin Tendulkar who has 49 centuries in his list.

Kohli is known as ‘King’ and he plays like that. Kohli, who made his debut in the year 2008, has so far scored 8119 runs in Test format, 12809 runs in One Day International format and 4008 runs in T20 International format. He has done many such feats which can be broken in the near future, but so far Virat has a record which is unlikely to be broken. Interestingly, Kohli is the only player in cricket history to take a wicket on the ‘0’ ball of his T20I career across all formats.

In 2011 in a T20I match which India was playing against England, M S Dhoni Handed the ball to a young Virat Kohli who used to bowl a few overs here and there. Virat was never a conventional bowler, but when he needed options to contain the opposition, Dhoni used him to great effect. Kohli bowled wide. MS Dhoni cut the bails with his lightning hands and stumped out Kevin Pietersen as Virat claimed his 0th ball wicket in his T20I career.

Kohli made his debut for India after their triumphant U-19 ODI World Cup win in 2008 Ravindra Jadeja, After that, Kohli played his first Test match for India in 2011 and his first international T20I match in 2012. Till date, Kohli has scored 46 ODI centuries, 27 Test centuries and 1 T20I century.
