Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Hindu Dharma Prachar Parishad has invited children from its groups from South Indian states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Karnataka for Sri Achyutashtakam and Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Strotram recital competition.
Visakhapatnam Cluster Superintendent A Venkataraman told Hindu Council is organizing competitions for the first time to develop the spirit of devotion in children in the present technological world.
Children from the erstwhile Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts falling under the Visakhapatnam cluster will reach the council office at Sector-8, MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam from 10 am on February 1.
Children below 10 years of age should recite the nine verses of Sri Achyutashtakam and children of 10 to 15 years should recite Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram.
The first three selected winners will be sent to Tirumala-Tirupati for another competition, where winners from all groups will have to compete, said Mr. Venkataraman, adding that last time over 150 children participated in Bhagavad Gita competitions in Visakhapatnam border. ,
