Visakhapatnam: Waltair Railway Division earns record revenue of ₹29.45 crore through ticket checking drive in the financial year 2022-23

Waltair Division earned a revenue of ₹29.45 crore in the ticket checking drive conducted in the financial year (2022-23). This is the highest ever record set by the Waltair division and the best ever in the zone’s history, surpassing all previous records. As many as 5,11,360 cases were detected due to tireless efforts of the ticket checking staff of the circle.

Congratulating the commercial team, Divisional Railway Manager Anoop Satpathy said that Waltair Division recorded record performance in all departments and created history in ticket checking. He said that the division has earned a revenue of Rs 29.45 crore in 2022-23, which is 89% more than the previous financial year (2021-22), which was Rs 16.03 crore.

There are five ticket checking bases in Waltair Division. M. Alam, Ticket Checking Inspector, detected 13,685 cases and earned a revenue of ₹87.20 lakh in the form of fare and fine.
