Vivo Reportedly ready to launch its first foldable smartphone next month. According to a report by Chinese website jiemian, the smartphone maker is planning to launch a foldable smartphone codenamed ‘Butterfly’ in April. As per the report, there will be a ‘technological breakthrough’ in the foldable device, which is a core component in any foldable device. The report further suggests that the smartphone will be benchmarked against Huawei and Samsung.
Noted tipster Digital Chat Station also shared the plans for the upcoming foldable smartphone. As per the image, the smartphone will have a punch-hole camera on the cover screen. The image also reveals that the device will sport a quad camera setup at the back with a periscope lens. Vivo hasn’t revealed any details about the smartphone yet, but it is expected that the company’s first foldable smartphone will be available in China just like Oppo’s Find N.
