Wall Street climbs in the open on energy, boosts banks

Wall Street’s main indexes opened with gains in economy-sensitive energy and financial stocks on Thursday, a day after the Federal Reserve followed sharp comments on the markets.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened 93.66 points, or 0.27%, higher at 34,261.75.

The S&P 500 opened up 30.65 points, or 0.70%, at 4,380.58, while the Nasdaq Composite opened up 168.87 points, or 1.25%, at 13,710.99.
