Watch: Coder Turns Virat Kohli-Gautam Gambhir Controversy Into A Game, Internet Shocked

Internet users were baffled by the concept

Needless to say, the infamous Virat-Kohli-Gautam Gambhir brawl was one of the most unforgettable incidents of IPL 2023. The ugly scene as RCB’s star batsman Virat Kohli and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir had a heated argument. The incident which grabbed all the headlines inspired social media users to come up with hilarious memes and jokes. However, now someone has gone a step further and created a Full game out of it.

A Twitter user shared a video which shows how the on-field animosity between the two players has turned into a virtual fight. “I made a game so they could fight properly,” reads the text insert on the video, which appears to have been created by a coder.

The video then shows how virtual avatars of both the players were created, wearing their respective IPL jerseys. The game then prompts the user to choose a side, with the coder selecting Team Kohli. Once the game is in motion, virtual avatars of the warring players engage in physical combat, hitting each other with their bats. Take a look at the clip to know who emerges as the winner.

Internet users were amazed by the concept and thoroughly enjoyed the game.

“This is how cricket matches should be played from now on… literally knockouts,” said one user. “The only reason I’m learning coding,” commented another. This is kinda crazy bro.” A fourth wrote, “Kudos to creativity,” while a fifth wrote, “This is crazy,” replete with laughing emoji.

The incident did a lot of talking and divided the internet. Some found it childish, others liked the idea of spice and intense rivalry, while staunch believers of the ‘gentleman’s game’ thought it could have been avoided.

Notably, all the three players were heavily fined by the BCCI for violating the IPL 2023 Code of Conduct. While Gambhir and Mr Kohli lost 100 per cent of their respective match fees, Naveen was fined 50 per cent.

Let us tell you that this was not the first time when two legends of cricket were involved in a dispute. In 2013, when Kolkata Knight Riders were playing Royal Challengers Bangalore, it was a ‘deja vu’ moment for all those who had seen the two clash in close quarters.
