The cat was trapped without food or water for about five days.
Firefighters in California, US, rescued a lonely cat that had been abandoned and starving on the roof of a building for five days. Sammy the cat had to be rescued from the roof of an apartment building in Kingsburg, and firefighters encountered some difficulty getting there.
“Locals initially tried to rescue the cat by climbing onto a roof, but the ladder was too short to reach the top of the structure. After this effort, the Kingsburg Fire Department was called to the scene, and they were able to put out the fire.” Trapped on the roof and got Sammy back on the ground,” United Press International reported.
The video of firefighters rescuing the cat from the roof was uploaded to Facebook by Bambi’s Army, an organization dedicated to animal rescue.

Army Rescue of Bambi said in a Facebook post, “The cat has been rescued! It’s down from the roof and back on solid ground. Many thanks to the Kingsburg Fire Department and everyone who came to help.”
