Watch: German couple prepares sandwich in 40 seconds, sets world record

Guinness World Records (GWR) is known for capturing some of the most bizarre moments in the history of food. From chefs who made the largest puffcorn in the world to the man who broke the record for eating the most spicy chili – as absurd as these records may sound, they just might turn out to be true. Recently, another world record was set in the field of food. A team of two people (one blindfolded and the other unable to use hands) made a classic sandwich in the fastest time. Sarah Gamperling and Andre Ortolph from Augsburg, Germany achieved this feat in just 40.17 seconds. He recorded the record on November 2, 2022.

While the man making the sandwich was blindfolded, the woman standing in front was guiding him by tying her hands behind. He first opens the packet of bread and takes out two slices. Next, he applies a generous amount of butter on both, followed by a piece of meat and four sliced ​​tomatoes. He places the second piece on top, pins a white flag and voila, job done.

Earlier Indian-origin couple Dinesh Upadhyay and Manish Upadhyay Made a record of peeling an orange blindfolded and eating it. Upadhyay’s pair from Goregaon, Mumbai achieved this record on March 5, 2014 in just 17.15 seconds. Manish peeled the orange and Dinesh ate it.
