A video is going viral on Twitter in which a police officer has bravely subdued a heavily armed attacker. The incident is from Para Junction near Kayamkulam in Kerala.

In the video, a man standing on the side of the road posing as a police vehicle is parked next to him.
As soon as he gets down from his vehicle, he immediately takes out his weapon to attack the officer.
However, the sub-inspector bravely fights off the attacker and subdues him by slamming him to the ground.
In the video, the two are seen falling as the officer disarms him.
Passers-by reached the spot and helped the officer.
This video has been shared by Indian Police Service officer Swati Lakra on Twitter.
He wrote, “He looks like a real hero. Salute to this sub-inspector of Kerala.”
As the video went viral on Twitter, social media users lauded the courage of the police officer.
According to a Facebook post by Kerala Police, the officer has been identified as Sub Inspector Arun Kumar, who is in-charge of Alappuzha Nooranad police station.

The incident took place on the evening of June 12 at around 6 pm near Para Junction. The injury required the officer to get seven stitches on his fingers.
The person who killed the knife has been identified as Sugthan.
