Watch: Indian-origin singer cooks dosa inside class at American university

He is also the founder of Dosa Student Organization.

All students studying abroad miss home cooked food or what is called ‘maa ke haath ka khana’. The taste and smell of spices in Indian food cannot be matched by any other cuisine. But can you imagine living abroad, sitting at a lecture and smelling freshly cooked South Indian food? Something similar happened to a group of students who were attending a lecture when a fellow student offered them fresh dosas.

Indian-origin musician Pedda P made fresh dosas with chutney and potato masala for his batchmates. He took to Instagram to share the video of the same. In the short clip, he can be seen cooking dosas and handing them over to the batchmates. Everyone seems very happy with this action. The professor was also happy with this and started recording the student. In addition, the musician also offers dosa to the professor.

The reel has garnered over 9.9 lakh views and 52,000 likes since being shared on the social media application. The caption of the video reads, “BRO AT THE END”.

One user said, “Get them addicted by feeding them the best dosas, charge them later.”

A second person said, “Not all heroes wear caps, some feed hungry college kids.”

“Parents: my son studies in a big university abroad, le son,” commented another person.

A user wrote, “Watch out Saravana Bhavan! We have a new contestant.”

“Professor is looking desi, your grades are going to be good!!” another person commented.

Incidentally, he is also the founder of the Dosa Student Organization, whose mission is to “spread dosa awareness and best practices for making crispy dosas”. In an application form to recruit more people, they said that anyone, “brown, white, short, tall, round, square whatever” could join and that they had a zero-discrimination policy.

“It’s not an easy task, but we want to recruit members around the world so we can make dosas and save lives,” he said.
