England beat New Zealand by seven wickets in the third and final Test on Monday to beat the Kiwis 3-0. Chasing a target of 296 runs in the final innings, England made an unbeaten 86 to return home comfortably. Joe Root and 82 from Ollie Pope. After England’s win, players from both sides started shaking hands with each other and concluded what was an exciting Test series. This is when Joe Root made a sweet gesture Daryl Mitchell which was caught on camera.
As soon as Jonny Bairstow Hit the winning six and he engaged in a handshake to the New Zealand players with Root running to the crease, picking up a stump and handed it to Daryl Mitchell.

Mitchell topped the run-scorers’ chart with 538 runs in six innings, while Root scored 396 runs in as many innings.
England won the first match at Lord’s by five wickets and then won the series at Trent Bridge, Nottingham with the same margin of victory in the second Test. They eventually went on to whitewash New Zealand at Headingley, Leeds.
