Watch: Korean Ambassador and embassy staff dance on ‘Natu Natu’, PM Modi reacts

Korean Ambassador Chang Jae-bok danced to the hit song.

It would not be wrong to claim that SS Rajamouli has managed to keep everyone hooked with the thrilling song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR. The song has become an international raga. It is getting a lot of love and attention from people all over the world, be it the catchy hook steps or the upbeat sounds.

Time and again, we come across videos of influencers and fans recreating and dancing to the hit song, which has also been nominated for Oscars 2023 in the Best Music (Original Song) category. The Korean Embassy in India joined in and shared the trend. A video of Korean Ambassador Chang Jae-bok grooving to the hit song with Korean staff working at the embassy.

The video begins with two female Korean workers doing the hook step in kurtas. The action then shifts to the embassy lawns, where the ambassador is joined by two other staff members as they groove to composer MM Keeravani’s award-winning song.

As the video progresses, two embassy staffers are seen dressed like actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR as they wear white shirts and gray trousers with suspender belts. The clip ends with the entire embassy staff gathering for a flash mob in the gardens.

“Do you know Natu? We are happy to share with you the Korean Embassy’s Natu Natu dance cover. See Korean Ambassador Chang Jae-bok with Embassy staff Natu Natu!!” reads the caption of the clip.

Since being shared, the video has collected over three lakh views and nine thousand likes.

Many applauded the staff members’ efforts and called it an “amazing performance”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the video and commented, Lively and lovely team effort.”

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “So cute… one would be tempted to try some moves!!”

“Brilliant!” Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur made the remarks.

“It’s wonderful to see that music brings different cultures together. I remember a similar event organized by an Indian private company where people came together to dance to ‘Gangnam Style’. You rock, Korea!!” said a user.

Another user wrote, “Such an exciting performance. Those three guys till the end – you never gave up and you did a great job.”

The film, RRR has dominated international film festivals and its most recent success is winning four Hollywood Critics Association Awards. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Song last month, India’s first win at the ceremony.
