The internet is full of videos that show compassionate people helping stranded animals and reuniting them with their herds. The latest in the series shows the rescue of a leopard that had fallen into a well in Karnataka. This video was shared by social media user Sahana Singh on Twitter three days ago.
The caption states that the leopard fell into a well and was trapped there till rescue workers found it. The video shows the efforts of villagers and government officials as they try to free the endangered big cat from the well. The villagers brought a ladder and put it inside the well. However, the leopard was scared, so the villagers thought of another solution. They soon came up with a ‘jugaad’, people bought a long stick and burnt one end of it.
He kept a burning torch inside the well to provoke the scared leopard to come out. Soon, the leopard can be seen crawling into the well. The villagers rejoiced after the leopard came out of the well.
“Somewhere in Karnataka. A leopard fell into a well and when it was given a ‘ladder’, it was still scared inside. Forced to flee. How they rejoice! Man, nature and jugaad.”

So they placed a log of fire near his buttock, forcing him to climb the scaffold and run into the forest. How they rejoice! Man, nature and jugaad. 😊 Found this on WA. pic.twitter.com/OBr7kDTmlp
