Needless to say that fashion knows no bounds. While women have adopted male clothing throughout the years, men are also slowly adopting apparel that comes with the tag of ‘only for women’. In one such instance of breaking gender stereotypes, a man wearing a skirt was seen catwalking inside a local train in Mumbai.
The man, identified as Shivam Bharadwaj also known as ‘The Guy in a Skirt’, is a fashion blogger with over 30,000 followers on Instagram. He shared the video with a caption that read, “Went to the most public place in Mumbai like this – Mumbai local train.

In the video, Mr Bhardwaj, dressed in a flowing black skirt, can be seen confidently walking inside a Mumbai local train like a model, with sunglasses, while other passengers look on curiously. Notably, his video came in response to a comment that read, “You won’t see men dressing like this in public, stop faking yourself.”
The video has received mostly positive reactions from people on Instagram, with many praising her confidence and sense of style. A user wrote, ‘Ohhhhhhhh, models sizzling up the ramp, but look here!!! The train is on fire brother!! Somebody call the fire brigade..!” wrote another, “You should be on the runway.” A third wrote, “You killed it…you should try modeling, come on.” I gave it 50 Seen more than once.
A fourth added, ”You know I’ve been watching you for over a year now and I see the glamor and confidence on your face and you’ve really come a long way, I see your journey and I I am very happy for you. ,
The act also started a buzz on social media to break stereotypes about gender-based clothing.
In previous reels, Mr Bhardwaj had also shared how his unconventional fashion choices earned him a lot of criticism and name-calling on social media. He also mentioned that his father was unhappy with him when he chose content creation as his career, however, he managed to persuade him with his dedication and hard work.
