Watch: Models walk the ramp in tablecloth dresses at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Many said that the look was “legendary” and “cool”.

Fashion shows are famous for showcasing outfits and make-up that instantly become the talk of the town. Kylie Jenner’s lion-headed dress on the Schiaparelli couture runway in Paris was one such example. And because so many people are watching dozens of shows in person and virtually these days, brands have to come up with increasingly elaborate ways to keep their audiences entertained. The audience expects a performance rather than just a line of models walking the catwalk. Recently a video of a model walking the ramp with a dress attached to a tablecloth has gone viral. Interestingly, food and crockery were placed on the tablecloth. The model dragged it all with it.

Designer siblings Nanna and Simon Wick recently presented their Autumn/Winter 2023 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Clothing brand (DI) Vision has posted a video of this on Instagram. In the video, model Sarah Dahl is seen sitting at a table with other guests holding plates of half-eaten food, candles, cigarette butts and wine glasses with stained white card invitations. She is seen wearing a pink corset and mini skirt and appears to start a toast before surprising the crowd with her outfit. She gets up and starts walking and soon all the crockery sitting on the tablecloth, which was attached to her dress, falls to the floor and walks with her.

Brand captioned the post, “”What are you bringing to the table?” has been viewed more than 23,000 times. Many said the look was “legendary” and “cool”.

“I’m really in love with it,” said one user.

“I love this wonder,” added a second person.

A third person said, “Reputable.”

However, many users criticized the brand for wasting food.

“What’s the matter? How is it sustainable?” commented a user.

A second person commented, “Not durable enough for throwing dishes (with food on them) and breaking still-useful glasses.”

“No. You claim you have a recycling brand but it is not recycling, it is not consuming anything,” said another user.
