Varanasi: Forum of prominent saints located in Varanasi, Kashi Dharma councilCondemned the violence that broke out across the country after Friday prayers.

We want legal action to be taken against jihadis. We will take a decision after talking to all sects, akhadas and Nagas. The council passed a 16-point resolution condemning the nationwide violence. The main points of the resolution demanded that “the mosques from where the stone pelting is being done should be completely closed down. NSA Action should be taken against the Jihadis who threatened Nupur Sharma and strict action should be taken against the fundamentalists.
Also jihadis who make derogatory remarks against Hindu gods and goddesses and make jokes in films should be sent to jail. Property should be confiscated by arresting the Maulanas who spread hatred. CCTV cameras installed in every mosque, speeches of Maulana should be recorded. NSA should be imposed for making inflammatory statements. It was demanded that the central government should enact strict laws to control jihadis.
